Headlines 30 July 2009:
STOP PRESS...
August 2009:
Dominic and Christel are moving. They head down to a
new house in Kent on 27 August 2009. Address will be sent out soon. You can
reach them on the mobile numbers for the time being.
30 July 2009:
Christel finally gave birth today at 04:02 to a
beautiful baby boy who we have named
Tristan James Bonin Knight
He weighed in at 7lbs 6ozs and was a good 52cms long. We have created his photo
diary page alongside the girls that we will maintain going forward. We have also
created an announcement page with some family photos:
July 2009:
Dom is now back at work two days a week and doing well
- he gets tired easily but is generally fine - the arm is moving well but there
is a way to go.
Now - to more joyous reporting, Christel is due this month - on Friday the 17th
to be precise - so fingers crossed. We know our third will be a boy and we have
a name ready and waiting. We are all excited - but quarantining ourselves away
fro the ever encroaching swine flu....
Oh - and it's Dom's 43rd Birthday on the 25th...
June 2009:
Dom had another setback early this month with the
return of the infection. As the 6 week course completed the infection returned
within two days - and a day later Dom was again admitted as an emergency case
and had a 6th operation to remove the last prosthetic and wash the arm again. We
hope this is the last of this tale and Dom will re-commence physio (and perhaps
work too) soon.
May 2009:
Dom has experienced some significant
complications on the arm injury. He contracted a infection through the wound in
the 3rd op and was rushed into hospital a few days later for two emergency
procedures that removed the prosthetic radial head and washed out the wound
twice. Dom had advanced blood poisoning and at the point of his fourth op went
into full toxic shock. He is now recovering and on a heavy course of
antibiotics.
April 2009:
Dom broke his left arm very severely in a accident -
after some very dodgy moments and threats that he might lose it - things have
begun to settle and after a third op prosthetics are now fitted and physio can
begin...
